If you're looking for that ideal escape, with a touch of luxury, then Stafford House is the perfect place to be. 

Built in the 1800's this enchanting Grade 11 listed "Folly" is set in the magnificent grounds of Greystoke Castle.

Traditionally furnished to a high standard, it still retains the original oak beams, bags of character and comfortable charm.

Only 10 minutes from the M6 Motorway, we are perfectly situated so that you can enjoy the beautiful Lake District. It is ideal for walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists, and especially for those who would just like to relax, enjoy the peace and tranquillity, soak up the beautiful surroundings and let themselves totally unwind.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits all of our Guests, and in the morning (should you choose?) a full and hearty English style Breakfast awaits you, or perhaps a different choice that we offer which will set you up for the rest of the day.

We source everything from the very best local produce available, which helps us to serve you a Breakfast to remember (for all the right reasons) and has a Real Taste of the Lake District.

We have two Double Bedrooms, the first is the "Kingsize Luxury

4 Poster Bed with En-Suite Facilities, on the 2nd Floor.

The second is the "Classic Double Room" again with a Kingsize Bed that can be found on the 1st floor.

We also have the "Traditional Twin Room" which can also be found on the 1st floor,.  There is a Private Bathroom that serves both of these rooms.

Since Covid-19, as soon as either the "Classic Double Room" or the "Traditional Twin Room" is booked, we have taken the important decision to block the remaining room ensuring that you have the Bathroom to yourselves.

However, if you are a Family Group or a Group of Friends, and you would like to book both the "Classic Double Room" and the "Traditional Twin Room", this would then mean that those 2 rooms will have the use of the same Bathroom - we hope this is acceptable by yourselves?

All of our Bedrooms have Freeview Television/DVD, a Hospitality Tray which is complete with various beverages and biscuits. 

In the Mini fridge you will find bottled water, a plate of fresh fruit and UHT milk, but we also offer a jug of fresh milk too should you prefer it. 

There are also Luxurious Robes on the bed, a Hairdryer, and a Rotating Fan.

The lounge is on the second floor, and is one where you just can’t help but relax.  Sit back and watch the large screen television which is connected to SKY, play a DVD or even a video.

You may just want to read a book, paper or magazine while the CD or radio is playing quietly in the baclground. 

We also offer free WiFi, just in case you have something on your laptop or phone that just won’t wait.

We will do our very best to help make your stay here at Stafford House as enjoyable as possible, and if this is your first visit to The Lake District, then I can almost guarantee that it won’t be your last.
