I'm sure you've heard about the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As many other businesses have done, we have updated out Privacy Policy in order to comply with the new regulations. GDPR is a new set of rules that aim to protect your privacy and make it easier for you to understand how your personal data is handled by the companies you interact with.

We only hold information about people who have previously stayed at Stafford House, or who have previously requested information about accommodation at Stafford House, which contains only names, email addresses and mobile telephone numbers, but you can request for this information to be deleted at any time by contacting us.

This Privacy Notice explains how we at a Stafford House Bed and Breakfast use any personal information we collect about you.
We use your home address as part of the card payment processing to validate the card.
We will use your email address to send you confirmation of the booking and an email with more details on how to find us and other information you may find useful for your stay. Your email address will not be used in any marketing emails.
We will not use your telephone number to contact you unless it for an emergency and/or we have been unable to contact you by email.
All of the personal and debit/credit card data you supply us, as part of the booking process, is stored securely on a third party system, as per the terms and conditions of the company used to book our rooms. For any bookings made online,we do not receive any debit/credit card data.
Payments taken for direct phone bookings with us, we do not record your debit/credit card information, it is entered directly into our card payment machine. Two copies of the receipt are printed, one is given to you either directly when you stay, unless requested to be sent by post. The merchant copy receipt is retained for a short period after your stay and destroyed in accordance with merchant rules.
Neither we nor our booking partners will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so.
We are required by law to collect the following information on all our guests. We do this by asking you to complete a registration form on arrival.
For commonwealth guests; Name and nationality
For non commonwealth guests; Name, nationality, passport number, address of next destination
We will keep these forms safely secured. We are required to keep these registration forms for a year and show them to a police officer if they request to see them. We destroy these forms approximately 12 months after your stay.
Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to periodically compile statistical reports on website activity.
