If you're looking for an overnight stop on the C2C route, or a base so that you can explore the beautiful Lake District on foot, then Stafford House Lodge is the perfect place to be, where a warm and friendly welcome awaits all of our guests.

Originally this dwelling was the former "Fruit Store" for Greystoke Castle, with the Head Gardener residing in the Main House.  Our renovations have turned it into two cosy self-catering Lodges, sited in the large walled garden of an enchanting Grade 11 listed “Folly” which itself is set in the magnificent grounds of Greystoke Castle.  Finished to a high standard, the Lodges are in perfect keeping with their surroundings.
 

Only 10 minutes from the M6 Motorway, we are perfectly situated for you to enjoy the stunning countryside.  It is ideal for walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists alike or indeed anyone who would just like to relax, enjoy the peace and tranquillity, and let themselves totally unwind

Blencathra Lodge is the smaller of the two, and sleeps 2 people accommodated in 2 single beds. 

This Lodge is also equipped for wheelchair access by having wider doors and handrails in the wet room.

Price

The price is £50.00 per person per night.

The above price includes all bed linen and towels, also tea, coffee, sugar, milk, orange juice, a selection of cereals, bread, butter and an assortment of jams and marmalades.

The Lodges are self catering and have a fully fitted kitchen with every convenience. 

To secure your booking we will require a deposit of £10.00 per person within 2 weeks of your original enquiry, which is none refundable in the case of cancellation.  If within that time we have not received the deposit or contact from yourselves, the rooms will become available to the general public once again.
